It looks like swingers are finally getting the R-rated sex
comedy they so richly deserve. This red band trailer for Patrick Brice’s
The Overnight is not what you normally what comes to mind
when you think of this genre. Sure, it’s filthy and funny, but there’s more
unnerving and unsettling potential to found here, which is certainly welcome.

New to town, when mild married couple Alex (Adam Scott) and
Emily (Tylor Schilling) accept a dinner invitation from their new friends Kurt
(Jason Schwartzman) and Charlotte (Judith Godreche), they get more than they bargained for as their pals
appear to swing like nobody’s business. And paint large pictures of buttholes, they
do that too.
While The Overnight looks raunchy and
filthy, it also appears to push the boundaries of the genre further than most
films of this ilk. You can rest assured that they’re going to touch on some
taboo subjects and do their level best to make you squirm uncomfortably in your
seat.
Fantastic cast and all, The Overnight is
