The 2019 Oscar Winners

queen

Whether you pay much attention to movies or not, you probably know last night was the 91st Academy Awards. Or at least that they handed out the iconic trophies last night, I didn’t know it was year 91 off the top of my head either. It’s a time for Hollywood to pat itself on the back, dish out some Oscars, and supposedly celebrate the best films of the previous year. If you care about such things, find the list of winners below.

As usual, I’m fine with some of these choices, while I think others are terrible. Honestly, I’m mostly just excited award season is over so I no longer have to hear about it and don’t have to think about it again until roughly November. (At least after everyone talks themselves out about it over the next week or so.)

Also as usual, most of my favorite movies are nowhere to be found. If you care about my favorite films of 2018, you can read about them HERE. If you’re interested to see how I would have broken down the individual categories, you can see how I voted in the various critics groups I’m a member of right HERE.

What was your favorite movie/performance/score/song/etc. of 2018? Do you and Oscar see eye to eye or are your picks a bit off the map? Sound off in the comments below.
