This 'Triple Threat' Trailer Teaser May Be Short But Still Punches Everyone In The Face

Under normal circumstances, I’m not inclined to share trailers for trailers That’s generally a ridiculous practice and sharing actual trailers is problematic enough. (I’m a fan, they get me hyped, but I now many folks who avoid them like the plague—to each his own.) That said, I’m all kinds of jacked up for Triple Threat, there’s a new trailer coming Thursday, and there’s a teaser for that impending preview. And here it is.

For those unfamiliar with the concept of Triple Threat, prepare to have your minds blown wide open and kicked out a window. Directed by Jesse V. Johnson, the current big dog on the VOD action landscape, it stars damn near every badass cinematic martial artist currently working. The roster includes Tony Jaa (Ong Bak, Fast and Furious 7), Iko Uwais (The Raid, Headshot), Tiger Hu Chen (Man of Tai Chi), Scott Adkins (Boyka: Undisputed, Hard Target 2), Michael Jai White (Blood and Bone, The Dark Knight), former UFC champ Michael Bisping (xXx: Return of Xander Cage), Celina Jade (Arrow, Skin Trade), JeeJa Yanin (Chocolate, Raging Phoenix), and probably way more crazy stunt performers. This is essentially a dream movie and I giggle uncontrollably every time I think about it.

The plot of Triple Threat is simple: “When a hit is taken out on a billionaire’s daughter, it’s mercenaries versus assassins in an all-out war.” Straight-forward and to the point, that is all I need and should serve as a perfect delivery system for this cast to pummel the living hell out of one another for our entertainment. Bless them.

This tease comes from Hi-YAH! It only offers a glimpse, but what we see is exactly what I’m looking for. The full trailer arrives Thursday, which also happens to be Valentine’s Day—isn’t that a grand romantic gesture?

Well Go USA will release Triple Threat in theaters and VOD on March 22, with a Blu-ray release to follow a few weeks later. I can’t wait for this.
