This 'Godzilla: King Of The Monsters' Trailer Goes Over The Rainbow

giant snarling monster

“Rodan, Ghidorah, Mothra…oh my.” “Set Godzilla free!” “This is Godzilla’s world, we just live in it.” Just when I think I can’t get any giddier about Godzilla: King of the Monsters, they have to go and release this short trailer full of campy one-liners and crap tons of new creature footage. All set to the darkest version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” you’ve ever heard.

'The Burial Of Kojo' (2018) Movie Review

a man watches a car burn on a beach

The Burial of Kojo begins with the striking image of a VW Beetle, mired on a beach in the tideline, engulphed in flames. With this esoteric picture, writer/director Sam “Blitz” Bazawule sets the mood and crafts a dreamy, lovely piece of allegorical surrealism.

'Avengement' Trailer: Scott Adkins New Prison Revenge Movie Looks Grim

man with a silver grill yells

We’re big Scott Adkins stans around these parts. He’s one of the best movie martial artists working right now and, outside of a few dalliances with big time Hollywood blockbusters like Doctor Strange, he almost exclusively makes the kind of mid-tier actioners that haven’t been mainstream since the ‘80s and ‘90s. Today marks the release of his epic team up Triple Threat, which you should watch ASAP, but he has another badass project on the way, the prison revenge movie Avengement. Watch the first trailer below.

Check Out The BoneBat Comedy Of Horrors Film Festival 2019 Lineup

Demons eating popcorn

It’s that time of year again. That time where, in Seattle anyway, a bunch of like-minded horror enthusiast weirdos spend 12 hours of a (possibly) lovely spring weekend day hunkered down inside like mole folk; drinking beer; and watching a ridiculous amount of strange, twisted, and otherwise warped movies. Yes, you guessed it, it’s the annual BoneBat Comedy of HorrorsFilm Festival.

This 'John Wick 3' Trailer Puts A Target On John Wick

So, he’s thinking he’s back…for a third time. This May, Keanu Reeves puts on his meticulously tailored suit, scruffy beard, and shoots everyone in the head. Again. I couldn’t be more excited. And to that end, watch the latest trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3—Parabellum.

'Us' (2019) Movie Review

Woman in a subterranean hallway with a stick

Following up any movie as culturally impactful, wildly popular, and generally acclaimed as Get Out is a daunting task, especially considering it was a debut feature. But Jordan Peele is back with Us, his sophomore horror yarn. I don’t want to pit it against his previous endeavor, they’re drastically different, but it is a creepy, atmospheric, weird-as-balls doppelganger horror. There’s a lot to unpack, but I think I love the way Peele’s brain works. It’s also as relevant as Hands Across America has been or ever will be.

'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' Trailer: Quentin Tarantio's Latest Has Cool Cats Being Cool

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio being cool

Quentin Tarantino finally has his Once Upon a Time movie. You knew it was bound to happen. I honestly expected it to be a western, but as he’s done that the last two times out of the gate, I guess that wasn’t in the cards. As you might imagine, some folks are frothing over at the prospect of a new QT movie, so without further ado, here’s the first trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

'Body At Brighton Rock' Trailer: Paranoid Terror In The Woods

a park ranger in the woods

Roxanne Benjamin’s Body at Brighton Rock was one of my 50 most-anticipated movies of 2019. The stripped-down thriller just premiered at SXSW and between the positive reviews and this first trailer, my hype levels haven’t abated one bit. Take a look after the jump.

Matthew McConaughey shirtless in a cowboy hat drinking out of a chalice.

Park Chan-wook helming an ultraviolent western? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! And this is apparently a thing that’s happening. Praise be! The Oldboy and The Handmaiden director will reportedly lead The Brigands of Rattlecreek for Amazon, working from a script by Brawl in Cell Block 99’s S. Craig Zahler, with an eye on Matthew McConaughey to star.

'Triple Threat' (2018) Movie Review

one man punches another

There’s a scene in Triple Threat where Tony Jaa fights Scott Adkins, then Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais fight Scott Adkins, then Tony Jaa fights Scott Adkins solo again. A scene. Actually, not even a scene, it’s a sequence within a scene. If that’s not enough to convince you to watch a movie, keep reading, I’ll try harder.

This 'Avengers: Endgame' Trailer Does Whatever It Takes

Captain America grimace

Now that you’ve all seen Captain Marvel—at least according to the numbers, statistically speaking, most of you have, unless you’re a butthurt manbaby who’s upset Marvel invited girls to play, too—it’s high time to turn our attention to the next installment of the episodic saga that is the MCU: Avengers: Endgame. And surprise, surprise, the Marvel marketing machine released another new trailer. Check it out below.

two asian men fighting

Though it feels like it’s been coming forever, Triple Threat finally hits theaters next week for a one-day extravaganza of face-punching mayhem before it lands on VOD. Frequent visitors to this site know well how much this movie makes me salivate. And we have a new clip that should do the same for you. Check it out below.

'Master Z: Ip Man Legacy' Trailer: The Martial Arts Saga Continues With Max Zhang, Michelle Yeoh, Tony Jaa, And Dave Bautista

Max Zhang and Michelle Yeoh fighting

Max Zhang, Michelle Yeoh, Dave Bautista, and Tony Jaa in a movie directed by Yuen Woo-ping? If that doesn’t move you to watch Master Z: Ip Man Legacy, you probably don’t like action movies. And if that’s the case, why are you here? I kid, I kid. But in all seriousness, if this trailer is any indication, Master Z is going to be a barn burner. Check it out.

'Captain Marvel' (2019) Movie Review

Brie Larson flaming eyes

After eleven years, 20 movies, and much brouhaha, with Captain Marvel, Marvel finally let one of their female characters lead an installment of their expansive cinematic universe, as well as hire a female (co-)director. The film has traits that make it unique and stand out, but at the same time, it often becomes a paint-by-numbers MCU origin story. Full of ups and downs, it’s still an engaging, entertaining addition, one that will have a lingering on-screen impact moving forward and also carries surplus revelatory weight simply by existing.

'Midsommar' Trailer: 'Hereditary' Director Returns With A Creepy New Folk Horror Movie

young man and woman holding hands in a field

For  first time feature writer/director, Ari Aster knocked one out of the proverbial park last year with Hereditary. It’s not only one of my favorite movies of 2018, it’s also one of the best horror movies in recent memory. So, you’re damn right his next movie is high up on my must-see list. And lucky for everyone, his follow up, Midsommar, opens this summer. Check out the spooky first trailer below.

This 'Hellboy' Trailer Gives Evil Hell

Hellboy movie flaming demon

People adore Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy movies. I like them well enough, but I don’t get the crazy love. Similarly, I like the comics fine, but don’t obsess. Basically, my point is that I’ve never been the one clamoring for more from the big red guy. I’ll watch and probably enjoy, certainly, but news of the new Hellboy doesn’t exactly set me on fire. What does excite me about this new project, however, is that it’s a new Neil Marshall movie, and the idea of the Dog Soldiers and The Descent director back on the big screen and working with monsters is an idea I can get behind. All that said, here’s a new Hellboy trailer, as well as a red band version and a bunch of posters.
