There is so much Avengers: Age of Ultron
promo floating around that it’s damn near useless to try to keep up with it
all. That said, this new TV spot is a pretty damn good time. It’s not as epic
or quite as ominous as some of the trailers, but it is funnier than most.
It’s full of action, dudes and ladies in tights doing battle
with nefarious forces, and all the rest. But at some point, way farther in than
you might expect, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) realizes that, when fighting robotic
forces, a bow and arrow might not be the best choice of weapons. Crazy how that
works out.
When Tony Stark tries to “create a shield around the world”
he inadvertently manufactures the greatest threat humanity has ever faced, the sinister
artificially intelligent Ultron, voiced to creepy perfection by James Spader.
Since no one else is equipped to deal with this new enemy, Earth’s Mightiest
Heroes have to step up to save the day, if they can.
