'Batman V Superman' Already Released A Deleted Scene

You probably already know this, but Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is getting an R-rated Blu-ray release that will be 30 minutes longer than the already 151-minute theatrical cut. This may hit in June, but even though the movie has only been out for a weekend at this point, there’s already a deleted scene available online. Check it out below.

Warner Bros. posted this on their YouTube page and it provides a bit more context for at least one of the moments in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that left some scratching their heads. Watching this makes Lex Luthor’s final rant make a bit more sense in the framework of the movie (though most of us already presumed he was talking about Darkseid, the ruler of Apokolips).

Sure, I have no idea who this large horned fellow is (Is that the DC Extended Universe’s Darkseid? Apokolips is kind of DC’s hell, and this dude looks pretty hellish. Are those the Mother Boxes he’s holding?), and the title “Communion” doubles down on the religious themes, but if nothing else, this indicates that the deleted scenes we’ll get later on might add some additional clarity to Batman v Superman and the quickly expanding DCEU.
