'The First Purge' Trailer Lights It Up
As a film series, The Purge films
fluctuate wildly. The first had a cool concept, but turned in a mostly middling
home invasion yarn. The Purge: Anarchy is an
exploitation-style throwback that opens up the world and, IMO, is the best of the
bunch. The Purge: Election Year tried to up the crazy, with
mixed results—there’s good and less good. But these movies are also cheap,
quick to produce, and crazy profitable. Which is why The First Purge
is upon us, and you can watch the first trailer now and gawk at a new poster.

'Karate Kill' (2016) Movie Review
Kurando Mitsutake’s Karate Kill may not
have much in the way of plot, but it certainly has an excess of violent martial
arts fights, blood, and gratuitous nudity. So that’s something for the
Gun Woman director to hang his hat on.

Syfy Greenlights 'Death Race 2000' Style Throwback 'Blood Drive'
Anytime Syfy greenlights an awesome sounding TV show, I have
to take it with a grain of salt. They don’t have the greatest track record of
late. The Expanse is based on one of the best sci-fi books
I’ve read in recent years, so I’m trying to be optimistic. And now they’ve
given the go ahead to another promising series, Blood Drive,
a ‘70s-inspired, grindhouse-esque show about a badass car race.

This 'Bound To Vengeance' Trailer Tweaks The Revenge Thriller Formula
Well Bound to Vengeance certainly looks
like a grim piece of exploitation/revenge horror, but one that puts enough of a
different spin on the subgenre to keep it from getting stale. Distributed by
IFC Midnight, this new trailer gives you a good idea of what it’s all about.
Check it out below.
