'The Windmill Massacre': Check Out First Trailer For The Dutch Horror Film

It’s been in the works for a few years, but Nick Jongerius’ English-language international horror flick The Windmill Massacre just dropped its first trailer, and this looks like a genre outing fans may want to keep an eye out for.

This trailer from Twitch first showed up at the Imagine Film Festival in Amsterdam, and it has a distinct Jeepers Creepers vibe to it. Though thankfully without the real world skeeviness of Victor Salva to sully the horror and gore that happens on screen. Here’s a synopsis:
Jennifer is an Australian girl on the run from her past who washes up in Amsterdam. In a desperate attempt to stay one step ahead of the authorities, she joins a coach-load of tourists embarking on a tour of Holland's world famous windmills. When the bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere, she and the other tourists are forced to seek shelter in a disused shed beside a sinister windmill where, legend has it, a Devil-worshiping miller once ground the bones of locals instead of grain. As members of the group start to disappear, Jennifer learns that they all have something in common—a shared secret that seems to mark them all for doom.
That is certainly a description we can get behind.

The Windmill Massacre stars Charlotte Beaumont, Tanroh Ishida, Ben Batt, Fiona Hampton, Adam Thomas Wright, and Noah Taylor doing what he does best, playing a creepy weirdo. That’s always a welcome addition to any movie. The Amsterdam-filmed, English-language horror should hit sometime this year. Check out the trailer below.
