Eli Roth and I have a troubled relationship. As much as I
appreciate his infectious enthusiasm about horror—just listening to him talk
it’s hard not to get excited—I’ve never been a fan of his movies.
Cabin Fever didn’t do much for me, and the Hostel
movies and their ilk have never been particularly interesting. That said, I’m
stoked to see Green Inferno, his take on the
cannibals-in-the-Amazon-jungle subgenre—that’s one that doesn’t get much love
these days—even though we have no idea when we’ll actually see it. I am,
however, very intrigued by his latest, the Keanu Reeves-starring Knock
Knock, and now we have this new trailer that only serves to up that
anticipation.
