Well, hello there, Bliss, nice to meet you. Indie horror director Joe Begos (Almost Human, The Mind’s Eye) is back with a nasty, mean-mugging, gore-soaked take on a vampire story. And as the kids say (or, more likely, don’t anymore), this looks very much like my shit. Check out the trailer below. It feels like something you’d encounter as the back half of a double feature at a movie theater where you’re a little bit afraid you might get stabbed.

'Kodoku Meatball Machine' Trailer: Heavy Metal, Blood, And Machine Gun Boobs...And Blood
A certain level of utter chaos and mayhem from the guy
behind Tokyo Gore Police and Mutant Girl
Squad is to be expected, and the trailer for Japanese director Yoshihiro Nishimura’s
Kodoku Meatball Machine does not disappoint on that front.
Check it out below, it’ll be the most insane two minutes of your day. If it isn’t,
holy shit, you’re having a weird one.

This 'Deathgasm' Poster Is The Most Metal Thing You've Ever Seen
I could talk all day about how fucking great the New Zealand
heavy metal horror flick Deathgasm is, and in fact I have
shouted my love for this film from every mountain top I can climb. (Cards on
the table, I’m in bad shape, so any real mountains I climbe are not particularly
tall or numerous, but metaphorically, there are many.) If you want to know my
thoughts, read my review here. With a theatrical release on the horizon, there
is a new poster making the rounds that perfectly encapsulates what the film is
all about. Take a look below.

This Awesome 'Dude Bro Party Massacre 3' Clip Makes You Wish Parts 1 And 2 Were Real
Dude Bro Party Massacre 3 is available to
the general public as of this week. I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet
because this week is doing its level best to kill me, though hopefully I’ll get
to it next week—it’s getting strong reviews from places whose opinion I trust.
And if I needed another reason to be stoked about this horror send up, the
maniacs behind this ridiculous feature film released an awesome new clip.

for your perusal. Check it out after the jump.

'Dude Bro Party Massacre 3' Red Band Trailer Shows Why It May Be The Craziest Movie Of 2015
The other day, a strange thing hit the internet, the trailer
for a movie called Dude Bro Party Massacre 3. It’s a
bizarre, campy send up of low-to-no-budget slashers, and has some weirdly
well-known faces in small roles, like Patton Oswalt, Andrew W.K., John Frances
Daley, and Larry King. Yes, Larry King. Now, just a few days later, these
lunatics are back with a brand new red band trailer for you to check out.

Watch This Insane 'Alien Tampon' Trailer, It's Full Of Monsters, Mean Girls, And Hobos
There’s a scene in an episode of South
Park where one of the kids stumbles across some especially nasty
international porn involving Cartman’s mom and one of them asks, “What the fuck
is wrong with German people?” That’s a question you’re going to ask yourself
after you watch this trailer for the German horror-sci-fi flick Alien
Tampon (yes, that says Alien Tampon), and I mean
that in the best possible way.

This 'Deathgasm' Trailer Has Demons, Blood, And Heavy Metal, What More Do You Need?
Beheadings, demons, saw attacks, and shredding heavy metal,
this trailer for the gore fest Deathgasm certainly has my
full attention. The fact that the movie is called Deathgasm
doesn’t hurt either. Slated to premiere as part of SXSW’s Midnight program next
month in Austin, this instantly became a movie I want and
need to see.

'Evil Dead' Movie Review
When we learned that there was going to be an “Evil Dead”
remake, or reboot, or whatever it’s supposed to be, most of us groaned and
chalked it up to another unnecessary rehash of a beloved movie from our past.
While I still don’t see the need for the new “Evil Dead,” over the intervening
months the production has done something none of us thought possible, they made
their movie look really, really good. That was unexpected. Whether or not “Evil
Dead” lives up to this newfound potential is another thing.

'The Collection' Movie Review
So, do all serial killers these days need tools and snares
and an intricate system of booby traps in order to ply their trade? If the
current trend in horror is to be believed, then yes, yes they do. I was hoping
that we were going to leave that one to the “Saw” franchise, but from the looks
of “The Collection”, that’s not going to happen. Granted, both writer/director
Marcus Dunstan and writer Patrick Melton are veterans of that particular set of
films (they also delivered “Feast”), so you should expect a device or two.
Still, it’s gimmicky, and not particularly frightening.

DVD Review: 'The Burning Moon'
Do you like disemboweling? Do you like people being forced to eat their friend’s eyeballs? I knew you did. And because you have such discerning, gore-soaked taste, you’ll probably want to hurry out and pick up a copy of Olaf Ittenbach’s German blood-fest “The Burning Moon”. Seriously, there’s something horribly, and delightfully wrong with this dude. The film is a bit of a mythic figure, circulating on bootleg VHS tapes traded in seedy back rooms by an underground network of hardcore horror fanatics. At least that’s the way I imagine it going down. Given the cinematic mayhem that is now available on DVD, that would be an appropriately sketchy scenario.

'The Theatre Bizarre' Movie Review
Horror anthologies are a hit and miss affair. While some installments succeed wildly, others invariably fall flat on their face. “The Theatre Bizarre”, the latest in a long and distinguished line of these films, is very much in this category. Moments of near greatness exist right along side segments where you’re counting the seconds until it ends. That’s also part of the fun of anthologies. There’s a sense of giddy mayhem when something clicks and comes together. It gets in, does its thing, and gets the hell out without wasting any time. Shorts can be efficient little buggers from time to time. And even when things don’t work, the time commitment is minor.
