'K.O.' (2025) Movie Review

It makes too much sense to cast Ciryl Gane in an action movie. On one hand, he’s a professional MMA fighter, a heavyweight no less. At six-foot-five, he’s a 250 pound wall of muscly giant, with a unique blend of physicality and martial arts acumen to more than sell an on-screen fight. On the other hand, however, he also has an adorable baby face, complete with a goofy smile that often makes it difficult to take him seriously as a badass. It's hard to say this massive, scary dude is cute, but…he kind of is. Fortunately French director Antoine Blossier knows how to make good use of both of these facets in his new movie, K.O.

If you haven’t been waiting for a South Korean MMA exorcism movie, Kim Joo-hwan’s The Divine Fury is here to inform you that you need to get your priorities in order. It deftly blends horror and action and is sure to call to mind the likes of Blade at times, while grappling with weighty themes of loss, faith, loss of faith, and evil.

UFC Champ Ronda Rousey Teams Up With The Raid's Iko Uwais For Actioner 'Mile 22'


At UFC 184 last weekend, Ronda Rousey demonstrated again that she’s easily the best women’s MMA fighter in the world by defeating clear-cut number one contender Cat Zingano in 14 seconds. 14 seconds. Hell, she’s the most dominant champ in the sport in any division, male or female. She’s also following in the footsteps of Gina Carano and kicking a lot of ass on the big screen as well. Last summer she showed up in Expendables 3, next months joins Vin Diesel and company in Furious 7, and we just heard a report that she’s teaming up with Iko Uwais, one of the baddest and most underrated action stars in the world.
