'Suburbicon' (2017) Movie Review

Suburbicon finds frequent Coen Brothers collaborator George Clooney doing his best impersonation of the filmmaking siblings. Actually, I hope it’s not his best impersonation or we’ve got problems. Behind the camera, Clooney so obviously apes his pals that his film has no personality of its own.

George Clooney's 'Suburbicon' Trailer Is Wicked And Hilarious

Not content with being a huge star, aging more gracefully than any human ever to live, and selling his tequila brand for a billion dollars, George Clooney continues to make the rest of us mere mortals look like turds by directing movies. 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Movie Review

Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac) is a special kind of asshole. He’ll borrow money from you to pay for your girlfriend’s abortion, your girlfriend that he knocked up. That’s assuming that you are in fact Justin Timberlake and you’re dating Carey Mulligan, but you get the idea. He’s also the protagonist of the Coen Brothers’ latest film, “Inside Llewyn Davis,” and the greatest feat the “True Grit” filmmakers accomplish is making you sympathize with this miserable, miserable prick as they delve deep into his psyche.
