'Deadpool' May Help 'The Goon' Animated Movie Get Made

If you’re not familiar with Eric Powell’s The Goon, you should change that immediately. It’s simply one of the best comics of the modern era, a throw-back mash-up of Depression-era pulp stylistics, supernatural horror, and comedy that also manages to tell some of the most emotionally devastating tales while all dressed up gratuitous, over-the-top violence and crude, bawdy humor. An animated movie has been in the works since 1999—there was even a proof of concept video—but there has been little news since back in 2013. Little news, that is, until now.

Movie Review: 'Deadpool'

There’s been a lot of talk about how the new adaptation of Deadpool would work. Last time we saw the Merc with the Mouth on the big screen, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, was…not good. Super Bowl Spots For 'Jason Bourne,' 'Batman V Superman,' 'Captain America: Civil War,' And More

I was out of town to watch that boring ass Super Bowl, so this is a few days late, but, as usual, the big game played host to a number of promos for big upcoming movies. Some are imminent, others are a ways off, but there was some cool shit to be seen. Way more interesting than the game, that’s for sure. Hit the jump to see some of the best and brightest.

The 'Deadpool' Trailers Are Here And They Rule

Coming out of San Diego Comic-Con, one of the movies that generated the most chatter was Deadpool, and while we had to wait for it, we’ve now got not one, but two badass new trailers for Merc with the Mouth’s new solo joint. And if the character’s less than stellar debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine filled you with doubt and fear, those should be assuaged after you get your first look.
