“Do you have it in you to make it epic?” one character asks another near the end of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. In answer to his own question, George Miller casually strolls over, taps the mic, leans in, and responds, “Yes, yes I do.” The 79-year-old action maestro has once again stepped up to show the whippersnappers exactly how to do it. And it is good.

That’s when Mad Max: Fury Road finally, after years and just about the bumpiest road you can imagine for any movie, roars into theaters on a wave of gasoline and exhaust fumes, and I couldn’t be more excited. A new featurette digs into the hero, Max Rockatansky, now played by Tom Hardy, peeling back some of the layers of mystery surrounding him.

Seriously, I didn’t think I could be more excited for Mad Max: Fury Road, but then they went ahead and released this new trailer, and I have to admit that I’m even more stoked for George Miller’s return to the post-apocalyptic wastes than I even thought possible. By the time the May 15 release date rolls around, I’m going to be foaming at the mouth.
