'Avengers: Endgame' (2019) Movie Review
With Avengers: Endgame, Marvel manages to both take their expansive, episodic superhero saga in a direction I did not see coming, but also plays it out in entirely predictable, familiar fashion. At three hours, this movie is a lot, and it falls into some of the typical MCU pitfalls, but overall, it’s a blast, serves as an end point but also a beginning, and will more than satisfy fans who have devoted ten plus years and 20 plus chapters to these tales. At this point, Marvel knows their fans and what they want, and there’s going to be plenty of tears and cheers in the audience.

'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' (2017) Movie Review
What’s the one thing Guardians of the
Galaxy, Marvel’s 2014 deep space adventure, is missing? That’s right,
Kurt Russell. Fortunately for everyone, writer/director James Gunn’s follow up,
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 rectifies that oversight with
a vengeance. Oh yeah, and there’s Baby Groot, who may be the most adorable
character to ever grace the silver screen.

Marvel’s latest joint, Doctor Strange. But lo and behold, we
don’t even have to wait that long, because a shiny new teaser just hit the airwaves.

'In A Valley Of Violence' (2016) Movie Review
If westerns have taught us nothing else—and I’ve taken far
too many life lessons from the genre—it’s that nothing brings a killer who has
renounced killing back to his old ways like messing with his family or his dog.
That’s the primary education a small-town numbskull learns in writer/director Ti
West’s take on the spaghetti western, In a Valley of
Violence.

'Oculus' Movie Review
Walking out of the theater, you can’t help but be
disappointed with “Oculus.” That isn’t to say Mike Flanagan’s haunted mirror
tale is bad, because it isn’t, but there’s a world of unrealized potential left
on the screen. Between Flanagan’s last outing, the no-budget “Absentia,” and a
cast that includes geek favorites Karen Gillan (“Doctor Who”) and Katee
Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”), you have higher hopes than what you get.
