Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom—or as I like to think of it, Jurassic Park 4: Part 2—is a bizarre proposition. A mess of rampaging dinosaurs, too-convenient storytelling, and an utter absence of emotional stakes, the film offers a few entertaining moments. But overflowing with sheer nonsense, insufferable characters, and a shocking lack of thrills, it’s insanely boring for long, long stretches, something a movie ostensibly about dinosaurs eating people should absolutely not be. I can forgive almost anything in the pursuit of watching giant prehistoric reptiles chow down on flat, terrified characters, but I sure as hell can’t cotton to dull and drab.

'Jurassic World' Movie Review
Jurassic World is big and dumb and lacks
most of the sense of wonder and awe of Steven Spielberg’s 1993 original, but
it’s also a lot of fun. Some elements, like character and story and motivation,
don’t work so well, but on the level of sheer adventure and spectacle, this is
a solid, special effects-heavy summer popcorn movie.

These Two 'Jurassic World' Posters Remind Us How Tiny We Are
Even if that first Jurassic World clip left
you meh (or pissed you off like Joss Whedon), it’s still one of our most
anticipated of the summer, primarily because no matter what else, there are
going to be big ass monster dinosaurs chowing down on sunburned tourists. That
sounds like a fun time from where we sit. To remind you just how terrifying
they’re going to be, the movie released two new posters that drive the point
home.
