Just the simple fact of a new Scott Adkins movie is enough
to get us pumped up around these parts, but it doesn’t hurt that his next film,
Eliminators, sounds awesome. Sure, the name may call to mind
some unfortunate bodily functions, but aside from that the details are all
solid.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Footage Hands A Lightsaber To John Boyega
Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick. It really doesn’t take much
to get me excited. Star Wars: The Force Awakens just did it
with a few seconds of new footage. But what a few seconds. Holy shit. Check out
the Instagram post below.
'Turbo Kid' Movie Review
George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road may
have ruled the post-apocalyptic subgenre this summer, but TurboKid a retro throwback to the low-budget Mad Max
knock-offs of the early 1980s, and is a total blast beginning to end that you need to check out. Originally
envisioned as an entry for the first ABCs of Death anthology
(“T is for Toilet” made the cut instead), it’s an awesome opus in itself.

'Hard Target 2' Shoots This Fall With John Woo Producing, Don't Hold Your Breath For Jean-Claude Van Damme
With Jean-Claude Van Damme sporting that greasy, Jheri curl
mullet, John Woo’s 1993 Hard Target, the Hong Kong action
auteur’s first American film, is admittedly a wee bit cheesy. However, out of
all of his subsequent films, it’s also the most similar to action classics like
Hard Boiled, A Better Tomorrow,
The Killer, and the others he built his reputation on. And
now it’s getting a sequel.

Scott Adkins Kicks Cartel Ass In This 'Close Range' Trailer
Any time there’s news about a Scott Adkins movie, that’s a big
day for me. He’s one of the premiere cinematic badasses currently working
anywhere in the world, and he’s responsible for some of the best gritty, old
school actioners of the last few years. When he teams with director Isaac
Florentine, that’s even better, as the two have teamed up on such modern
classics as Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear and
Undisputed 3. Now they’re back with Close
Range, and you can check out a brand new trailer after the jump.

'Sinister 2' Movie Review
Scott Derrickson’s 2012 horror joint
Sinister doesn’t break from the well worn horror path, full
of genre tropes like creepy little kids, the sound of footsteps when no one is
there, and a perpetually dark house, even in the middle of the day. Still, it
managed to be atmospheric, genuinely eerie, and was a solid fright fest.
Unfortunately, Ciaran Foy’s Sinister 2 doesn’t deliver in
the same manner.
