It’s been 17 years since Hugh Jackman first strapped on the
bushy sideburns and adamantium claws as fan-favorite mutant Wolverine in X-Men.
Now, in 2017, with Logan—his (reportedly) final ride as the
grizzled, ornery, cigar-chomping comic book antihero—we get the movie I’ve been
waiting almost two decades for.

Now You Need To Watch Two New 'Logan' Trailers
A gritty, R-rated story about a grizzled, older, world-weary
Wolverine, I was in the bag for Logan from word one. Doesn’t
hurt matters that it looks awesome, a trend that continues in two new trailers
and a bunch of stills.

Hugh Jackman Gets Grim, Grizzled, And Head-Stabby In First 'Logan' Trailers
Hugh Jackman’s last go-round as the fan-favorite,
claw-having, self-healing mutant Wolverine is bearing down on us quickly, and
Logan, as it’s been dubbed, promises something very
different from your typical X-Feature. Just how different is
readily apparent in the first trailer. Check it out below, along with a red
band version.

Final 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer Is Full Of Adventure And Surprises
While both Marvel and DC appear to have a roadmap for their
respective superhero franchises—though they are certainly subject to change—20th
Century Fox’s X-Men series has the feeling that they studio
is just throwing things at the wall, seeing what sticks, and making it up as
they go. They basically retconned the entire original timeline out of
existence. It’s going to be interesting to see where they go with the latest
installment, X-Men: Apocalypse. But as we approach the
release date, we’ve got the final trailer, which arrives with some unexpected
bits of fan service that are sure to make hardcore followers cheer in their
seats. Watch it after the jump.

'Prisoners' Movie Review
The first shot of director Denis Villeneuve’s (“Incendies”) new thriller, “Prisoners,” shows a sparse winter forest in Western Pennsylvania. A wide spectrum of grays, this is a harsh, desolate place, but, as a deer creeps into the frame, you see there is life. You also bear witness to an inherent brutality as a young hunter, Ralph Dover (Dylan Minnette), kills the doe at the urging of his father, Keller (Hugh Jackman). Not only does this initiate you into the world of the film—we’re talking about a where every choice is morally ambiguous, gray if you will, though some are so dark as to be damn near black—but it also sets up a tense, quiet atmosphere punctuated by stunning violence. “Prisoners” is a mystery that is as physically and emotionally pulverizing to you the viewer as it is to the characters.

'Les Misérables' Movie Review
Having never read Victor Hugo’s novel, nor seen the
legendary stage production, the vast majority of what I know about “Les Misérables”
comes from an episode of “Animaniacs”. That said, I do love a good musical, and
I rather enjoyed this long awaited film adaptation, though it is an up and down
ride at times. Even if you’re not familiar with the play, you’ve heard these
songs before, the cast is fantastic across the board, even people I don’t
usually care for (Anne Hathaway, I’m looking at you), and the costumes and
production design do a great job of making you feel like you’re in 19th
century France. Everyone, even the upper class, are suitably grubby and smudged
so that you believe they’ve spent their entire lives living in filth.
