This 'Avengers: Endgame' Trailer Does Whatever It Takes

Captain America grimace

Now that you’ve all seen Captain Marvel—at least according to the numbers, statistically speaking, most of you have, unless you’re a butthurt manbaby who’s upset Marvel invited girls to play, too—it’s high time to turn our attention to the next installment of the episodic saga that is the MCU: Avengers: Endgame. And surprise, surprise, the Marvel marketing machine released another new trailer. Check it out below.

'Wind River' (2017) Movie Review

Taylor Sheridan won acclaim for writing recent crime dramas Sicario and Hell or High Water, which afforded him the chance to direct his own script, Wind River. Beginning with the murder of a young woman on an isolated Wyoming Indian reservation, the story follows Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner), a tracker grieving his own loss, as he helps Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen), a newbie FBI agent, stalk the killer. As he says early on, he “hunts predators.”

'Arrival' Trailer: Watch Amy Adams Talk To Aliens

Sci-fi is my jam, and as much as I love alien invasions where the outsiders show up and wreak havoc, the pinnacle of the genre has always been the thoughtful, brainy, human works that use the speculative trappings to hold a mirror up to society. Not that the two are necessarily mutually exclusive, but Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival promises to fall firmly into that second camp. Yesterday we got our first look at the film, and today arrives with a shiny new teaser trailer. Check it out below.

'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' Movie Review

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, the latest in the Tom Cruise-starring franchise, starts off fast, sets its hooks, and hurtles you forward. The continually escalating mayhem propels the film past any of the otherwise glaring plot holes, and the action is fast and chaotic enough to gloss over how ludicrous the plot actually is. Full of big, boisterous action, one of Hollywood’s biggest superstars, and crazy-ass stunts, Rogue Nation is a damn entertaining ride.

'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' Movie Review

Here are the things I learned from “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters”. Good witches are pretty, nice, and will have sex with you in a magical pond. Bad witches look like they’re into black metal, dress poorly, and give you diabetes. So, if nothing else, you’ll walk away with a couple of important life lessons under your belt. Those are the most important things to know about “Hansel & Gretel”, and as you’ve probably gathered, it’s utterly ridiculous. It’s also way more fun than an oft-delayed pseudo-horror film buried in the end of January has any right to be.

'The Bourne Legacy' Movie Review

The legacy part of Tony Gilroy’s “The Bourne Legacy”—the new extension of the Robert Ludlum-based spy franchise—is forced and unnecessary. Throughout the film you get quick status updates on Jason Bourne. Someone mentions he was in Moscow recently, there’s a news report that he’s been involved in a shooting in New York, that sort of thing. Without actually appearing in the film, his presence looms large. You know it’s there to bind this installment to its predecessors, and once or twice would be fine, but this pattern persists. And it doesn’t stop at Bourne. Pamela Landy (Joan Allen), Noah Vosen (David Strathairn), Simon Ross (Paddy Considine), and more characters from the series, pop up for quick moments, for no other reason than to remind you that this is a “Bourne” movie.
