'Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness' (2022) Movie Review

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now has the distinction of being my least favorite chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s a plodding eyesore overflowing with shallow expository dialogue in lieu of narrative development. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) continues to be the least interesting Avenger, and even another strong performance from Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch can’t save the day. And the one moment I really enjoy, admittedly for petty personal reasons, I can’t talk about because it’s a major spoiler.

'The Grudge' Trailer: Nicolas Pesce Revisits The Supernatural Horror Franchise

Along with The Ring and others, 2004’s The Grudge, an American remake of the 2002 Japanese horror film Ju-on: The Grudge, was at the crest of Hollywood’s fascination with J-horror. (Fun fact, director Takashi Shimizu helmed both versions.) Since it’s been a few years, it’s time to dust off the familiar IP, this time with Nicolas Pesce in the big chair. 'Crawl' Trailer: Alexandre Aja, Alligators, And A Hurricane

The last time Alexandre Aja went all in on crazy-ass nature run amok, we got Piranha 3D, which is just the best movie. Well, he’s back in that realm, and while Crawl looks like a very different approach—dark and grim and terrifying versus over-the-top camp and schlock—it looks no less rad. I mean, come on, giant rampaging alligators in a hurricane. Check out the trailer below.

This 'Ash Vs. Evil Dead' Trailer Is Absolutely Perfect

Knowing that Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi were both coming back, you can bet we were already excited for Ash vs. Evil Dead, the upcoming series revival on Starz. But holy hell, you have no idea how incredibly stoked we are after watching this first trailer that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con. Holy shit. While we don’t automatically crap all over every one of the glut of remakes or revisitations of beloved properties, we don’t usually excited. (Mad Max: Fury Road was an exception, and one that paid off big.) We are, however, rather psyched for Starz’ upcoming continuation of Evil Dead, Ash Vs. Evil Dead. It sounds just about perfect, and this groovy new teaser trailer captures everything we want out of this series. Check it out after the jump.
