Netflix's 'Daredevil' Reveals The First Gritty Footage, Full Trailer Drops Tomorrow

Daredevil is one of my all-time favorite comics and has been since I was a kid. There are so many great storylines and arcs, not to mention the dark, gritty tone, that it seems tailor made for adaptation right now. Still, the Ben Affleck version sucked so hard I almost walked out of the theater four minutes in (it was Valentine’s Day and I was on a date). Since then I’ve been a wee bit gun shy, for obvious reasons, and while I really, really want the new Netflix Daredevil series to be good, I’m taking a wait and see approach. I’ll still binge watch it all the day it drops, but nothing we’ve seen up to this point fills me with overwhelming confidence, including this quick new peek.

Because this is the world we live in, this is actually just a tease for a longer trailer that arrives tomorrow. As such, it doesn’t show much, or anything, but it does set the mood, which is fine, I guess. I like Charlie Cox, I don’t know if he’s the Man Without Fear, but we’ll find out, won’t we? We’ll see more tomorrow, but if you’re hard up, this is at least a taste.

Here’s the synopsis:

Marvel's Daredevil is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.

The full Daredevil trailer hits tomorrow, and all 13 episode of the series show up on Netflix April 10.
