Oh yes, this is the kind of thing we like to see. Big episodic horror from an all-star creative team, with an incredible cast, on a premium network known for major production value. We’ve been waiting for HBO’s Lovecraft Country, produced by Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams, for a long time. While we won’t get it until August, we finally have our first look at a trailer.

'Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker' Trailer Gives You One Last Look At Your Friends
UPDATED: Now with more poster!
ORIGINAL POST: Now that we’re getting a movie every year or so, plus the upcoming streaming shows and the glut of books and comics and other media, it’s a bit less special, but I will never not be excited for Star Wars movie. And the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits me in all the feelings places. Check it out for yourself below.

'Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker' D23 Teaser Hints At Big Things To Come
Yeah, Disney owns everything and that hegemony has already
had a negative impact on the movie world. (Films have been cancelled, they’ve
shuttered arms that handle smaller films, it’s now more difficult if not impossible
for rep theaters to screen certain titles, etc.) But I remain 100% on the hook
for all things Star Wars and this latest look at
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker gives me chills.

'Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker' Trailer: The Saga Comes To An End
Anything happening today? No? Nothing much? Oh, yeah, the first trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX, THAT’S WHAT’S HAPPENING! It’s also called Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker apparently. There’s some stuff to chew on in this, that’s for sure. But for now, roll it!

Bad Robot's 'Overlord' Trailer Has Nazi-Zombies And Flamethrowers
Going back to the 1970s, there’s a whole subset of zombie
movies that involve Nazis. (My personal favorite subset of this subset is the Nazi-zombies-emerging-from-bodies-of-water
sub-subgenre.) Recent installments like the Dead Snow movies
have taken a swing at this and now J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robots are having
their say with Overlord. The first trailer has emerged from
the mystery box and it’s a wild time for sure. Check it out after the jump.

Movie Review: '10 Cloverfield Lane'
Since it came out in 2008, there’s been chatter about a
follow up to found footage creature feature Cloverfield.
Just a few months back, the notoriously mysterious Bad Robot dropped a surprise
trailer for something called 10 Cloverfield Lane (up to that
point it had been developing under the working title
Valencia), which appeared to be, at least tangentially,
related to the earlier film. To be honest, it’s really a sequel in name only.
While Cloverfield is big and bombastic—and, in my opinion,
wildly overrated—10 Cloverfield Lane is a small, taut,
claustrophobic psychological thriller with a serious Twilight
Zone vibe. If it wasn’t for the title, there’s very little to connect
it to its predecessor, but that doesn’t matter because it’s a damn good time.

First Trailer For Bad Robot's Mysterious '10 Cloverfield Lane,' Plus Poster And Release Date
Well, the Bad Robot mystery box is back at it again. There’s
been talk of a secretive Cloverfield tie-in coming for some
time, but we just got a new trailer, poster, and imminent release date for the
project, apparently called 10 Cloverfield Lane (it was
earlier known by the title Valencia). Who knows how this
connects to the found footage monster movie, or if that’s just a tease, but
this first look is something I’m totally into.

Movie Review: 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'
I’m not going to write a real Star Wars: The Force Awakens review. Everyone else already has, with the amount of money
it’s already made you’ve probably already seen it multiple times, and I have
far too many feelings to adequately put into words. So, I’ll keep this brief.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Latest TV Spot Features Way More John Boyega
Hey, it’s been a couple of days since we’ve seen anything
new from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, right? Well, now with
just a month left on the clock before we see it, here’s yet another new TV spot
with even more fresh, shiny footage. Spoilers live after the jump if you’re
afraid of such things.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Drops A New Poster And Three Clips
Tonight we get our first look at the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, which is an exciting prospect. Sure, we’ll
probably walk away with more questions than answers, but what the hell, new
Star Wars footage. Just to tide you over until then,
however, over the weekend Lucasfilm revealed a new poster and three short
clips, presumably footage from the trailer. Check them out below.

Check Out These New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Photos, Plus New Kylo Ren Details
As of yesterday, we know that we’re not going to see any new
footage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens—not a trailer or
anything else—come out of D23 this weekend (I'm hoping for some Rogue One information, or maybe they'll confirm this or this). But don’t worry if that quick
snipped of new footage the other day left you starving for more, because this
morning arrived with a bunch of new photos to peruse.

Watch The 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Reel From Comic-Con
As guarded as I’ve been about new StarWars (the Special Editions are problematic, and I
know there are defenders out there, but the prequels are fucking garbage), I
can’t help but get giddy about Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm are saying all the things I want to hear,
and, more importantly, they’re doing all of the right things. Take this behind
the scenes video they debuted at San Diego Comic-Con last night.

Check Out These 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Photos
Star Wars Day, May 4th (“May the Fourth Be
With You”), was this week, and with so much from the beloved franchise going on
this year, there was a lot to celebrate. One of the biggest things to come out
was a spread of photos from Vanity Fair of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. (We also learned that the second so-called standalone
“anthology” film, formerly to be directed by Fantastic Four
helmer Josh Trank, will be a Boba Fett origin story, which gives us mixed
feelings.) Check them out after the jump.
