This 'Hold The Dark' Trailer Is Unbearably Tense

I don’t even know where to begin with this. On the heels of Blue Ruin and Green Room (I need to see his debut, Murder Party), Jeremy Saulnier quickly became one of my favorite filmmakers. And he’s back next month with his latest, Hold the Dark. If you’ve seen any of his previous films, you know you’re in for a rough time—and I mean that in the best possible way. And if you haven’t, this first trailer should clue you in. It also clearly demonstrates why this was one of my most anticipated movies of 2018.

HBO Green Lights 'True Detective' Season 3 And It Sounds Awesome

This morning, my Twitter timeline is full of people defending season two of HBO’s True Detective, something I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed before. Why today of all days, you might ask? Well, because last night, the cable giant announced their plans for True Detective season three, and they sound incredible. So everyone is crapping all over season two and the supporters have valiantly chosen to defend the much-maligned arc’s honor.

'Green Room' (2016) Movie Review

Being on tour isn’t nearly as glamorous as most people think, especially for a small band, or one clinging to DIY aesthetics and ideals. Sure, there are moments, but there is also sleeping in vans, breaking down, shows that fall through, driving 12 hours for shows that fall through, and, perhaps most disheartening, driving 12 hours to play a show where three people who don’t give a shit show up and leave in the middle of the set. I’ve been on some terrible tours over the years, played some god-awful disasters, but never has a show or tour sucked as hard as the one in Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room.

'Green Room' Red Band Trailer Breaks Bones And Unleashes The Hounds

At least for a while, I can’t say much about it, but Jeremy Saulnier’s follow up to Blue Ruin, Green Room, is awesome. It’s one of my favorite movies that I’ve seen this year, and there have already been a surprising number of fantastic movies thus far in 2016. It hits theaters soon, and to mark the occasion, A24 dropped a vicious new red band trailer for you to take a look at.

Latest 'Green Room' Trailer Is Ruthless And Grim

You know what, being in a band and being on tour sucks. It’s not all Almost Famous and epic parties and groupies and rock and roll. It’s endless driving, sleeping in your van, being broke as hell, and finding yourself in dicey situations far from anyone who might come to your aid. And no tour has ever sucked quite as much as the one in Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room. Need proof? Check out the latest trailer.

Vicious 'Green Room' Red Band Trailer Breaks Bones And Unleashes The Hounds

It debuted and Cannes last year, and we’ve been waiting for Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room ever since. Truth be told, we’ve been fiending for whatever he did next after Blue Ruin, and this looks like one hell of a follow-up. It just played at Sundance and opens for the rest of us in April, and ahead of that A24 just dropped a vicious new red band trailer.

'Green Room' Room Gets A Tense, Grim Trailer, Needs To Happen Right Now

After Blue Ruin, I’m game for anything writer/director Jeremy Saulnier does, and his next offering, Green Room, looks right up my alley. An exploitation style throwback to the tense, economic standoff movies of early John Carpenter and his ilk, Green Room is finally getting ready to open, and there’s a grim new trailer that makes me want this to happen right now.
