'Wu Assassins' Trailer: Iko Uwais Battles Ancient Supernatural Evil, And His Dad

Hey, remember like an hour ago when we were discussing that badass clip from Netflix’s upcoming action series Wu Assassins? Remember when I mentioned a full trailer was on the way today? Well, it’s here. Enjoy.

'Wu Assassins' Clip: Watch Iko Uwais Pummel Dudes In A Hallway

Looking for a reason to get excited about a movie or series, the presence of Iko Uwais usually does the trick. Such is the case with Netflix’s upcoming supernatural action show, Wu Assassins. It lands on the streaming behemoth in a few weeks, and just in case we weren’t already all jacked up, this badass new clip should do the trick.

'Triple Threat' (2018) Movie Review

one man punches another

There’s a scene in Triple Threat where Tony Jaa fights Scott Adkins, then Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais fight Scott Adkins, then Tony Jaa fights Scott Adkins solo again. A scene. Actually, not even a scene, it’s a sequence within a scene. If that’s not enough to convince you to watch a movie, keep reading, I’ll try harder.

'Triple Threat' Clip: Iko Uwais Fights Tiger Chen And It Is Good

two asian men fighting

Though it feels like it’s been coming forever, Triple Threat finally hits theaters next week for a one-day extravaganza of face-punching mayhem before it lands on VOD. Frequent visitors to this site know well how much this movie makes me salivate. And we have a new clip that should do the same for you. Check it out below.

'Triple Threat' Trailer: Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Scott Adkins, And Everyone Else Are Here To Fight

Happy Valentine’s Day! While some choose to celebrate this holiday with candy, candlelight, and other romantic markers, I prefer the way the good folks behind Triple Threat like to party, with face kicking, spinning elbows, flying knees, and general badass action mayhem. Yes, the full Triple Threat trailer promised a few days ago has arrived, and all I can say is, “Hell Yes!” to what is apparently “the killingest action event of the year.”

This 'Triple Threat' Trailer Teaser May Be Short But Still Punches Everyone In The Face

Under normal circumstances, I’m not inclined to share trailers for trailers That’s generally a ridiculous practice and sharing actual trailers is problematic enough. (I’m a fan, they get me hyped, but I now many folks who avoid them like the plague—to each his own.) That said, I’m all kinds of jacked up for Triple Threat, there’s a new trailer coming Thursday, and there’s a teaser for that impending preview. And here it is.

'The Night Comes For Us' (2018) Movie Review

I’ve been frothing at the mouth over Timo Tjahjanto’s The Night Comes for Us since the first moment I caught a whisper of its existence. The Indonesian director’s previous film, 2016’s Headshot—co-directed with Kimo Stamboel, who produced Night—serves up a vicious, angry action extravaganza that builds on what The Raid movies created. And his latest endeavor cranks things up to the umpteenth degree.

Joe Taslim Fights Everyone In Netflix's Badass 'The Night Comes For Us' Trailer

Over the course of the next two weeks, on consecutive Fridays, Netflix is set to release two of my most anticipated movies of 2018. First up is The Raid mastermind Gareth Evans’ old-timey cult saga, Apostle. Following hot on that film’s heels comes Timo Tjahjanto’s brutal gangland yarn The Night Comes for Us, which just dropped a new trailer to make action fans salivate. It also happens to prominently feature key pieces of The Raid franchise in Joe Taslim, Iko Uwais, and Julie Estelle. Watch it and get psyched.

Iko Uwais Teams Up With Netflix For 'Wu Assassins' Series

So, it looks like Netflix just got into the Iko Uwais business. Or maybe Iko Uwais just got into the Netflix business. Either way you look at it, the cinematic badass and the streaming giant have teamed up for a mystical, sci-fi, martial arts series called Wu Assassins and I can’t stop giggling.

'Mile 22' Trailer: Iko Uwais, Mark Wahlberg, Ronda Rousey, And Peter Berg Team Up To Explode Things

Marky Mark is sick of coddling all the pussies and his new movie is here to prove that. I don’t exactly know how that ties into his new action movie, Mile 22, but the Trump pal once again teams up with director Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon) for some rah-rah, flag-waving, manly shit. And they, of course, can’t help but getting a jab in at people with feelings (AKA the aforementioned pussies) at the start of this new trailer.

Iko Uwais, Dave Bautista, And Kumail Nanjiani Team Up For Action-Comedy 'Stuber'

Iko Uwais, Dave Bautista, and Kumail Nanjiani are not three actors I automatically associate. Sure, I could see Uwais and Bautista team up for a low-down DTV actioner. By the same token, I can imagine Bautista and Nanjiani in a mismatched buddy actioner. But it looks like all three are about to team up for an action comedy called Stuber.

Frank Grillo Fights Iko Uwais In This 'Beyond Skyline' Clip

So far, December 15 is shaping up to be the best day of my calendar year. Not only does Star Wars: The Last Jedi open, but Amazon drops the first season of Jean-Claude Van Johnson, and the after-the-fact sci-fi sequel Beyond Skyline also hits. And I might be most excited about that last one. Check out this new clip to see why.

'Beyond Skyline' Has A New Trailer And Release Date

It feels like 75% of what I’ve written about recently involves Beyond Skyline, and that’s fine with me. Not a fan of the 2010 alien invasion yarn, Skyline, the after-the-fact sequel looks completely badass. And that includes this new U.S. trailer. Perhaps even more exciting than that, is there’s now a confirmed release date on American soil, which is a pretty sweet indeed.

'Beyond Skyline' Trailer: Frank Grillo, Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, Aliens, What Else Do You Need?

If you know one thing about me these days, it should be that I’m really, really, really psyched for Beyond Skyline. Like, it’s all I care about anymore. Admittedly, I’m not a huge fan of 2010’s Skyline, but this long-after-the-fact sequel continues to look completely fucking rad. Just watch this new U.K. trailer if you don’t’ believe me.

'Beyond Skyline' Continues To Look Super Badass In This Indonesian Trailer

Okay, okay, 2010’s alien invasion movie Skyline wasn’t great. And sure, it’s been seven years, but what the hell, why not knock out a sequel? And while you’re at it, why not invite Frank Grillo, Iko Uwais, and Yayan Ruhian to the party? Seriously, what’s the harm? In short, Beyond Skyline looks way more awesome than anyone expected a Skyline sequel to ever look, and if you don’t believe me, check out this new Indonesian trailer and a couple of posters.

'Beyond Skyline' Trailer: Frank Grillo, Iko Uwais, And Yayan Ruhian Fight Aliens

The 2010 alien invasion film Skyline is not, how to put this delicately, good. In fact, it’s bad. Which is a shame. It had potential, but instead it’s just shitty. It was, however, cheap ($10 million). And it did make some money ($66 million worldwide), but not the kind of scratch that automatically makes one think of sequels. But against all odds, a sequel has been in the works for a while and this trailer for Beyond Skyline has everything I like: sci-fi, Frank Grillo, Iko Uwais, and Yayan Ruhian fighting aliens. Go figure.

'Triple Threat' Trailer: Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Tiger Chen, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, JeeJa Yanin...

Triple Threat is all of my favorite things wrapped up in one convenient package. Action, martial arts, gunplay. Oh, and it stars every cinematic badass currently working. The credits include Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Tiger Chen, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, JeeJa Yanin, Michael Wong, Michael Bisping, and Celina Jade. I hope I didn’t forget anyone, but I may have, the list is long and distinguished. As you may imagine, I’m beyond excited for Triple Threat, and that anticipation just took another huge leap forward with the first trailer. Check it out after the jump.

Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Tiger Chen, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, And Michael Bisping Are Making A Movie Together

Cinematic face-breakers Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, and Tiger Chen have been trying to work on a film together for a while now. They had Makeshift Squad, billed as an “Asian Expendables,” lined up, but that has yet to materialize. After that, we heard reports of Triple Threat, to be directed by John Wick: Chapter 2 helmer Chad Stahelski. That also failed to get off the starting blocks. But the trio of preeminent movie martial artists are back at it again, reportedly attached to a new project, also titled Triple Threat, and they’re bringing reinforcements in the form of Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, and UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping. Yeah, It’s like they asked me what I want in a movie and did exactly what I said. It almost brings a tear to my eye it’s so beautiful.

'Headshot' (2016) Movie Review

If movies have taught me nothing—and let’s be fair, movies have taught me most things—it’s that you never, never, ever mess with an amnesiac. Every last one is a secret badass ready to take you apart by muscle memory alone. And that’s certainly the case in Headshot. The set up is strictly Bourne, but the Indonesian directing duo, the Mo Brothers—Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto, who also wrote the script—deliver bonkers action on a level we don’t often encounter.

'The Raid' Star Iko Uwais Sure Remembers How To Fight Everyone In This 'Headshot' Trailer

The precise moment when I think I can’t get any more excited for the Mo Brothers’ Iko Uwais-starring actioner, Headshot, they have to go and drop yet another insane, ass-kicking, bone-snapping, face-punching trailer. Thanks, fellas.
