Following the groundbreaking success of Pulp Fiction came a wave of lesser films attempting to replicate that formula. Crime sagas with layered timelines, interlocking narratives, and eccentric characters were everywhere. With few exceptions, most of these endeavors fell flat. Bad Times at the El Royale, the latest from Cabin in the Woods director Drew Goddard, could easily be one of these movies.

This 'Suspiria' Trailer Will Creep Out Your Morning
Remakes, remakes, blah, blah, whatever. It’s all been said
before, and no matter what, I’m all kinds of jazzed for Luca Guadagnino’s
remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 horror fave Suspiria, even if
it is two-and-a-half hours long. And this new trailer only makes me want it
more. Take a gander after the jump.

'Suspiria' Trailer: Dakota Johnson Dances Into Darkness
Susupiria is arguably horror legend Dario Argento’s greatest work. So, of course there were grumblings from the faithful
when a remake was announced. That’s just what happens in these situations. What
we’ve seen thus far looks creepy and witchy and weird, and early reactions to
footage have been overwhelmingly positive. But that’s all second hand and
hearsay, at least until now. Amazon dropped the first trailer for Luca
Guadagnino’s Suspiria and it looks pretty rad.

'Fifty Shades Freed' (2018) Movie Review
Cards on the table: I haven't seen any of the
Fifty Shades of… movies. But that didn’t stop me from
watching the final installment of the trilogy, Fifty Shades
Freed, which I saw primarily because that’s funny to me. (And I have
it on good authority the previous films, especially part two, are hilarious.) It
wasn’t. What I bore witness to was the least interesting movie I’ve ever seen.
