'Get Duked!' Red Band Trailer Hunts Teens In The Woods

It was called Boyz in the Wood when it debuted at film festivals last year, but now Amazon has retitled the Scottish action/horror/comedy Get Duked! ahead of its impending release. They also dropped this raucous new red band trailer for writer/director Ninian Doff’s film.

Park Chan-Wook To Direct Violent Western 'The Brigands Of Rattlecreek' For Amazon, Matthew McConaughey Wanted To Star

Matthew McConaughey shirtless in a cowboy hat drinking out of a chalice.

Park Chan-wook helming an ultraviolent western? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! And this is apparently a thing that’s happening. Praise be! The Oldboy and The Handmaiden director will reportedly lead The Brigands of Rattlecreek for Amazon, working from a script by Brawl in Cell Block 99’s S. Craig Zahler, with an eye on Matthew McConaughey to star.

'Suspiria' Trailer: Dakota Johnson Dances Into Darkness

Susupiria is arguably horror legend Dario Argento’s greatest work. So, of course there were grumblings from the faithful when a remake was announced. That’s just what happens in these situations. What we’ve seen thus far looks creepy and witchy and weird, and early reactions to footage have been overwhelmingly positive. But that’s all second hand and hearsay, at least until now. Amazon dropped the first trailer for Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria and it looks pretty rad.

'You Were Never Really Here' (2018) Movie Review

Jonathan Ames’ novella, You Were Never ReallyHere is a gritty, stripped down portrait of a man wounded in nearly every way imaginable. At a hair over 90 pages, it’s spare and efficient. It evokes feel and tone and mood and emotion, hinting at a brutal history for its protagonist, simply named Joe, rather than offering overt explanation and detailed backstory. It’s sparse, but leaves a distinct lingering impression. And in the hands of director Lynne Ramsey (We Need to Talk about Kevin), it makes for a similarly tight, impactful film. Bleak and grim, it’s also a human, tender story about baptism, rebirth, and being repurposed.

'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' Trailer: Jean-Claude Van Damme Used To Be Super Famous

December 15 is shaping up to be one hell of a day. Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens, Beyond Skyline opens, and now Amazon is going to drop Jean-Claude Van Johnson, the meta action-comedy series that imagines Jean-ClaudeVan Damme’s entire acting career as a cover for his true calling, international assassin. To celebrate, there’s a new trailer. Yeah, the pilot’s great, this trailer’s great, I have high hopes.

This 'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' Trailer Is Goddamn Perfect

As you can probably tell, I’m quite pumped for Jean-Claude Van Johnson, the Jean-Claude Van Damme-starring pilot on Amazon where the Muscles from Brussels plays a version of himself who also happens to moonlight as an international assassin. I haven’t had the chance to watch the show yet—that’s a treat for later today—but this trailer is damn near perfect. Hopefully it will tide you over until you can check it out for yourself.

Jean-Claude Van Damme's Amazon Series 'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' Is Going To Be The Greatest Show Ever

This week, Jean-Claude Van Damme teams up with Amazon do deliver what is sure to be your favorite new show, Jean-Claude Van Johnson. Starring JCVD poking fun at himself, produced by Ridley Scott, and with a delightfully ridiculous premise, I’m 100% game, and taking a look at a new collection of photos ups my excitement level even more.

Park Chan-Wook's 'The Handmaiden' Trailer: Trippy, Discordant, And Gorgeous

Park Chan-wook is one of those directors that, no matter what he does, everything else takes an immediate backseat. After his English-language debut, Stoker (number on on my 2013 top ten list), the South Korean hit machine is back working in his native land with The Handmaiden, which just dropped a sensory-shaking new trailer and eerie new poster.

The First Trailer For Nicolas Winding Refn's 'The Neon Demon' Is Dark, Sexy, And Twisted

One of the things I look forward to like little else is the arrival of a new Nicolas Winding Refn movie. His latest, The NeonDemon, is, understandably, a film I’ve been keeping an eye on for quite some time. Though it hits later this year, we haven’t seen much, aside from a handful of stills and posters. That is, until today. The first trailer for the modeling-world-set horror thriller just dropped, and it’s dark, sexy, and twisted. Check it out after the jump.

Jean-Claude Van Damme And Amazon Are Doing A Crazy-Ass Action Comedy Series

I have a deep, undying love for Jean-Claude Van Damme, but even I can admit that many of his most recent DTV action endeavors are not all that great (I have hope for Kickboxer: Vengeance though). His best role of the last few years was as a version of himself in the fantastic and underrated Belgian crime flick JCVD, and he’s going to play an offshoot of himself again in a bonkers sounding series. Needless to say, I’m all in.
