Jean-Claude Van Damme's 'The Bouncer' Gets A Dark, Gritty Trailer

As someone who grew up on Jean-Claude Van Damme movies, I’m happy he still largely makes the same types of movies he always made. (There are, of course, variances with the likes of JCVD and Jean-Claude Van Johnson, both of which are meta, self-referential, and great.) Sure, they all land on VOD these days, but by and large, he continues to work in the same low-to-lowish budget action realm ad the bulk of his career, with roughly the same awesome-to-stinker ratio. Some of his films rule, others not so much, but this trailer for his latest, The Bouncer, looks like it might be the former rather than the latter.

'Kickboxer: Retaliation' Trailer Has Both Kickboxing And Retaliation

Who knew I’d be so on the hook for a revamped Kickboxer franchise? Okay, everyone who’s ever met me knew that right away. But I am. Kickboxer: Vengeance was pretty rad, if little more than a rehash of the original. So you can bet I’m amped for the upcoming Kickboxer: Retaliation, which just dropped a new trailer ahead of its impending release.

'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' Trailer: Jean-Claude Van Damme Used To Be Super Famous

December 15 is shaping up to be one hell of a day. Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens, Beyond Skyline opens, and now Amazon is going to drop Jean-Claude Van Johnson, the meta action-comedy series that imagines Jean-ClaudeVan Damme’s entire acting career as a cover for his true calling, international assassin. To celebrate, there’s a new trailer. Yeah, the pilot’s great, this trailer’s great, I have high hopes.

First 'Kickboxer: Retaliation' Trailer: Please God Let Jean-Claude Van Damme Fight Mike Tyson

Wait, what the hell? How did I miss this? Apparently the first teaser trailer (or two) for Kickboxer: Retaliation—the sequel to Kickboxer: Vengeance, last year’s Kickboxer reboot—dropped the other day. I knew it was coming, but it still scampered right on by me. I’m getting soft in my old age. Watch it (them) now.

Jean-Claude Van Damme's 'Full Love' Is Finally Coming Out And There's A Trailer To Prove It

Jean-Claude Van Damme has had a weird career. He’s been a huge star, been the butt of jokes, resurrected and reinvented himself a handful of times in a variety of ways (think both JCVD and Jean-Claude Van Johnson among others). He’s dabbled in directing, most notably with 1996’s The Quest (where the goal is to acquire a big, gold dragon that has no name beyond the “big, gold dragon). His only other turn at the helm is something of an oddity, languishing on the shelf for years, though it’s finally seeing the light of day under the moniker Full Love, and there’s a new trailer for you to check out.

This 'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' Trailer Is Goddamn Perfect

As you can probably tell, I’m quite pumped for Jean-Claude Van Johnson, the Jean-Claude Van Damme-starring pilot on Amazon where the Muscles from Brussels plays a version of himself who also happens to moonlight as an international assassin. I haven’t had the chance to watch the show yet—that’s a treat for later today—but this trailer is damn near perfect. Hopefully it will tide you over until you can check it out for yourself.

Jean-Claude Van Damme's Amazon Series 'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' Is Going To Be The Greatest Show Ever

This week, Jean-Claude Van Damme teams up with Amazon do deliver what is sure to be your favorite new show, Jean-Claude Van Johnson. Starring JCVD poking fun at himself, produced by Ridley Scott, and with a delightfully ridiculous premise, I’m 100% game, and taking a look at a new collection of photos ups my excitement level even more.

'Kickboxer: Vengeance' Trailer: Jean-Claude Van Damme Schools A New Generation In Revenge

The long-awaited (at least by me) Kickboxer remake, Kickboxer: Vengeance, just debuted at the Fantasia Film Festival. To mark the occasion, there’s a brand new trailer to keep us occupied until the movie arrives on August 19. Watch it for yourself after the jump.

Jean-Claude Van Damme Joins Yet Another 'Kickboxer' Movie

We haven’t even had the opportunity to lay eyes upon Kickboxer: Vengeance (fingers crossed for sometime this year, which seems reasonable considering it’s about to debut at the Fantasia Film Festival), but we’ve got even more of the rebooted Kickboxer franchise on the way. To celebrate the Fourth of July, none other than Jean-Claude Van Damme gave us a taste of what’s to come by releasing a video of himself signing a contract for the sequel, Kickboxer: Retaliation. Check it out below.

Jean-Claude Van Damme And Amazon Are Doing A Crazy-Ass Action Comedy Series

I have a deep, undying love for Jean-Claude Van Damme, but even I can admit that many of his most recent DTV action endeavors are not all that great (I have hope for Kickboxer: Vengeance though). His best role of the last few years was as a version of himself in the fantastic and underrated Belgian crime flick JCVD, and he’s going to play an offshoot of himself again in a bonkers sounding series. Needless to say, I’m all in.

The First 'Kickboxer Vengeance' Footage Actually Looks Awesome

It took a lot of effort, but I’ve finally moved beyond my initial shock and outrage that there is a Kickboxer remake on the way and just accepted that Kickboxer Vengeance is probably going to be a movie that I’ll be super into. Still a ways off, we’ve now got our first look at footage, and I have to admit, I’m totally down.

'Kickboxer: Vengeance' Gets Some New Pictures And A Silly Hairdo

If the idea Kickboxer: Vengeance, a reboot of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s 1989 classic Kickboxer, simply one of greatest movies ever made, sounds like blasphemy, I think we’ll get along just fine. Still, it’s happening whether we like it or not, and we’ve got some new looks at the cast.

'Hard Target 2' Shoots This Fall With John Woo Producing, Don't Hold Your Breath For Jean-Claude Van Damme

With Jean-Claude Van Damme sporting that greasy, Jheri curl mullet, John Woo’s 1993 Hard Target, the Hong Kong action auteur’s first American film, is admittedly a wee bit cheesy. However, out of all of his subsequent films, it’s also the most similar to action classics like Hard Boiled, A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, and the others he built his reputation on. And now it’s getting a sequel.

Jean-Claude Van Damme Unleashes Holy Violence In This 'Pound Of Flesh' Clip

Jean-Claude Van Damme may not be quite the movie star he once was, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get up to his old tricks now and again. And if you’ve ever wanted to see him beat the shit of a bunch of nameless goons with a Bible, check out this clip from his latest, Pound of Flesh. Take a look after the jump.

Watch Jean-Claude Van Damme Battle My Little Pony, Yes, You Read That Right

Well this is the best thing I’ve seen all week. Over the years, Jean-Claude Van Damme has battled many foes—his evil twin, Tong Po, a nefarious denim counterfeiting ring, and the dude who played War Child in Point Break, just to name a few—but perhaps none quite as vicious as My Little Pony.

Jean-Claude Van Damme Joins The 'Kickboxer' Remake That's Apparently Still Happening

Kickboxer is one of the greatest films ever made. If you disagree with that statement, we have very different worldviews. When I heard it was getting remade, with former WWE wrestler-turned-movie-star Dave Bautista as their big name, I had to groan; of course they’re going to fuck up one of my favorite movies. But then they started adding pieces I actually like. For instance, Tony Jaa, Scott Adkins, noted stunt badass Alain Moussi, and former UFC welterweight great Georges St. Pierre, were all on board. Okay, that’s interesting, and while two of those pieces are no longer a part of this particular puzzle, they’ve added a new one in the form of a little guy named Jean-Claude Van Damme. Now you have my attention. I still think this is a terrible idea, but I’m moderately intrigued now.

Jean-Claude Van Damme Does The Most Epic Splits Ever

I offer this video up for your enjoyment with only one simple statement: this is the best thing I've ever seen.

'Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning' Movie Review

When John’s (Scott Adkins) family is murdered in front of him, he sets out on a quest for to find the man who pulled the trigger, Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme). His journey takes him to some dark, unexpected places. That’s the basic plot to Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, the latest installment in a franchise that began in 1992. The film, however, takes that simple premise, and buries it beneath a big ol’ pile of crazy. Like Van Damme looking like psychotic clown crazy.
