'Halloween Kills' Trailer: Evil Dies Tonight, But Probably Not

michael myers in flames
Any good slasher franchise, like it’s evil centerpiece, is going to be damn near impossible to kill. Such is the case with both Michael Myers and the Halloween saga which he spawned. Like every movie scheduled for in 2020, the latest installment, Halloween Kills, was delayed thanks to COVID-19. But Blumhouse wants to remind us it is still stalking toward theaters and released this awesome new trailer.

James Franco's Long-Lost 'Zeroville' Adaptation Finally Gets A Release

Fun fact, the very first cease and desist order I ever received was for sharing a trailer to James Franco’s Zeroville a few years ago. The film premiered in 2015 at the Toronto International Film Festival but has been lost in distribution hell ever since thanks to financial troubles. But it’s finally going to see the light of day later this year. Unless something else goes wrong. Which, given the film’s track record, it probably will.

'Halloween' (2018) Movie Review

The new, much-discussed Halloween—a direct sequel to the 1978 original that, to the chagrin of many, completely ignores the franchise’s admittedly bumpy continuity—has issues. The plotting flails all over the place, it often ignores the most interesting elements, among others, and we’ll get to that. But what matters more than anything else, however, is that it’s goddamn lot of fun. I watched the whole thing with a goofy, shit-eating grin plastered across my face and I want to do it again. Soon.

UPDATED: 'Halloween' Trailer: Jamie Lee Curtis Hunts Michael Myers

Update: There's another new trailer, a Brazilian one this time, that features a crap-ton of additional footage. Enjoy.

I’m here all day and part of tomorrow for Jamie Lee Curtis playing this weird survivalist aunt version of Laurie Strode. And because I’m not jazzed up enough about David Gordon Green and Danny McBride’s new Halloween, this new trailer is a hell of a way to start the morning. Check it out below.

Blumhouse's 'Halloween' Trailer Makes You Believe In The Boogey Man

Well damn. I didn’t realize how excited I was, or really that I was excited at all, for Blumhouse’s new Halloween movie until the other day when they released a handful of teasers for the first trailer. (I know, I know, trailers for trailers, it’s silly, all that.) But when the music kicked in, I got chills. Well, the full trailer is here. Again, chills.

'Alien: Covenant' (2017) Movie Review

In 2012, Ridley Scott ventured back to the site of one of his greatest cinematic triumphs with Prometheus. This sci-fi opus, set in the Alien universe and serving as a precursor to one of the all-time greats, is uneven at best. I’m a staunch defender—it’s ambitious, full of lofty themes, moody and tense and creepy all in a line with the original, not to mention gorgeous—but I understand where the detractors come from.

Watch This Alien-Free 'Alien: Covenant' Prologue

Even if Prometheus left many folks cold (I totally dig it, though it’s certainly a deeply flawed film), it’s difficult not to get psyched about the idea of Ridley Scott making another movie set in the Alien universe. So it makes sense many of us are fiending hard for Alien: Covenant. We saw that brutal firsttrailer, and now 20th Century Fox released a short prologue film last night during Legion (you should also be watching Legion if you’re not). And here it is.

'Alien: Covenant' Cast Photo: Meet The Delicious People The Xenomorphs Get To Devour

Oh man, I sure hope the Xenomorphs in Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien: Covenant are super hungry. The production just released a photo of the whole case and it certainly looks like a smorgasbord—we’re talking a Vegas-style, heartburn-inducing buffet of epic proportions. Check it out after the jump.

The First 'Alien: Covenant' Trailer Is Brutal And Brutal

It was a merry Christmas, indeed. Not for the usual, warm, fuzzy, holiday nonsense that other people have been compelling me to endure for damn near 40 years against my will. No, on this day we set aside to celebrate fat dudes and the savior of humanity or whatever, I’m in a festive mood because we got our first look at Alien: Covenant, and holy shit balls. Like I said, merry Christmas, indeed.
