Back in 2014, Neighbors became a hit and
marked, if not a maturation of Seth Rogen and his foul-mouthed comedy style, at
least a shift towards more mature thematic concerns, particularly those of
fatherhood and marriage. Produced for a modest sum, and with a worldwide box
office haul of more than $270 million, it’s two years later and the no-brainer
sequel is here to strengthen Rogen’s dad brand.

'The Overnight' Red Band Trailer Is Inventively Filthy
It looks like swingers are finally getting the R-rated sex
comedy they so richly deserve. This red band trailer for Patrick Brice’s
The Overnight is not what you normally what comes to mind
when you think of this genre. Sure, it’s filthy and funny, but there’s more
unnerving and unsettling potential to found here, which is certainly welcome.
Check it out.

'Neighbors' Movie Review
“Neighbors” is the big, raunchy, R-rated comedy you were
hoping for this summer. Seth McFarlane’s “How to Die in the West” may challenge
for that crown, but it has an uphill battle, because Nicholas Stoller’s latest
film is a total, uproarious blast. Delightfully foul—like a dildo fighting,
baby chewing on a used condom filthy—this is better written than you expect out
of this kind of movie, and really better than it has any right to be. Normally,
comparing a movie to a classic is a sure sign that it is nowhere near as good
as the benchmark, but you can’t help but imagine that “Neighbors” is going to
get called this generation’s “Animal House.” And it very well might be. If
nothing else, it will make you laugh your ass off from beginning to end.

'This Is The End' Movie Review
Does
watching a bunch of foul-mouthed, weed-smoking, pill-popping celebrities attempt
to survive the end of the world sound like a good time? If it does, your summer
just took a significant upturn with This is the End, the
directorial debut from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the dynamic duo behind
Superbad and Pineapple Express. Not only
are we talking about an apocalyptic tale, this is also the vulgar, balls out,
R-rated comedy you’ve waiting for. (The Hangover Part III
was a miserable failure on that front.) Just because this is exactly what you
expect it to be—raunchy, improvised humor—doesn’t make it any less of a
freaking blast.
