During production, Nicolas Cage said Japanese director Sion Sono’s Prisoners of the Ghostland “might be the wildest movie I’ve ever made.” Which is saying something from a man who once made a movie where he wore John Travolta’s face. Then again, he’s not wrong. Face/Off, however off-the wall, doesn’t have the testicular explosions, irradiated mutant ghosts, and the ubiquitous cracked mannequin masks of Prisoners. The final product is something like a hyper-absurd post-apocalyptic Escape From New York riff. And I’m here for every last second.

'Climax' Trailer: Gaspar Noe's Latest Is A Psychotropic Hell Of Orgies, Murder, And Choreography
To know him is to have strong feelings about him. Whatever
your stance, French button-pusher, Gaspar Noé, is back with his latest attempt
to shock and awe and discomfit, Climax. (I, for one, really
want his wife and frequent collaborator, Lucile Hadžihalilović, to make another
movie, because her last one, Evolution, was an all-timer.)
With a title like Climax, and the man himself behind the
camera, you know we’re in for a wild ride, and if you didn’t, this new trailer
drives that point home.

'Hotel Artemis' (2018) Movie Review
Hotel Artemis isn’t a movie I ever need
to think of again. But as a slice of pulpy sci-fi action, buoyed by a strong
performance from Jodie Foster and a great surrounding cast, writer/director
Drew Pearce (Mission: Impossible—Rogue Nation, Iron Man 3) delivers a fun little R-rated trifle.

'Hotel Artemis' Trailer: Jodie Foster Fronts This All-Star Sci-Fi Crime Thriller
In general, I pay pretty close attention to movies and movie
news. Shocking, I know. But I have to admit, I have only the vaguest
recollection of hearing the name Hotel Artemis. That
oversight has been corrected, however, thanks to this awesome new trailer for
the Jodie Foster starring sci-fi action crime thriller. This has my full
attention.

HBO's 'Fahrenheit 451' Trailer Wants To Burn
Lots of people go through a dystopian fiction streak. Mine
was in junior high/early high school. (And, to be honest, continues to this
day.) We’ve got classics like 1984, Brave New
World, and The Handmaid’s Tale. Whole new
generations are getting in on the act with things like The Hunger Games and Divergent books, among many others. One
of the greatest of this ilk, and one of my favorites, is Ray Bradbury’s
Fahrenheit 451. Francois Truffaut brought it to the screen
in 1966, but now HBO has an impending adaptation with a fresh new trailer.

'Atomic Blonde' (2017) Movie Review
If Mad Max: Fury Road and Monster
weren’t enough to convince you not to mess with Charlize Theron,
Atomic Blonde should do the trick. She’ll shoot you, stab
you with a stiletto heel, kick the ever-loving crap out of you, use your neck
as an anchor while she dives out a window Die Hard style,
and pummel your genitals into a wad of pasty goo. (She kicks so many dudes in
the groin.) Should the model-turned-Oscar-winner decide all she wants to do
from now until the day she retires is make kickass action movies, that might be
the best greatest hope for humanity.

'Atomic Blonde' Trailer: Watch Charlize Theron Pummel Most Of Berlin
With the likes of War for the Planet of the Apes,
Spider-Man: Homecoming, Dunkirk, and
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets on the way, we
still have a ton of potentially awesome movies to look forward to this summer. One
of those I’m most excited for, however, is Atomic Blonde,
which just dropped an action-heavy new Australian trailer. Check it out after the
jump.

'The Mummy' (2017) Movie Review
For a stretch of The Mummy, Tom Cruise’s
Nick Morton asks over and over, “That’s really your plan?” like he just can’t
believe it. And that’s essentially my reaction to Universal’s latest attempt to
kick off their “Dark Universe” where they reboot all their classic monster
movie properties with modern action spectacle trappings. 2014’s
Dracula Untold was a failed first endeavor, and I can’t help
but wonder if this uninspiring re-launch will meet a similar fate.

'Atomic Blonde' Trailer: Charlize Theron Fights Berlin, And Everyone Else
It appears today is “second trailer for movies that
premiered at SXSW day.” Or something. Earlier, we saw the second trailer for
Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, and now we’ve got a new look at
Atomic Blonde. Don’t worry, there’s still quite a bit of
Charlize Theron kicking people in the face. Enjoy.

The 'Atomic Blonde' Red Band Trailer Is Here And It's The Best Thing You'll See Today, Probably All Week
John Wick assured that anytime stuntmen-turned-co-directors
Chad Stahelski and David Leitch do anything, I will watch the living hell out
of it. Leitch didn’t return for John Wick: Chapter 2 (which did
not disappoint) largely because he was flying solo on the now-titled
Atomic Blonde, which just dropped a trailer and, yeah, I am
100% holy shit in love with this Cold War actioner already. Stop what you’re
doing and watch it right this moment.
