Handsome white men can get away with damn near anything. From the look of the new trailer for J.C. Chandor’s Triple Frontier, the film plans to push this thesis to the extreme as a bunch of good looking dudes—Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Pedro Pascal, and Garrett Heduld—basically invade a foreign country to rob a drug cartel. What can possibly go wrong?

'Justice League' (2017) Movie Review
Justice League is clunky and messy. It’s jumbled
and misshapen. The presence of multiple directors—Zack Snyder did the bulk of
the heavy lifting, though Joss Whedon handled extensive reshoots and rewrites,
and roughly 20% of the finished film belongs to him, according to reports—is readily
apparent in the mishmash of tones and the fact that it watches like multiple
movies shoehorned together. Cringe-worthy choices abound. The fight scenes all
look like they’re lifted from a video game promo. And, of course, since this is
a superhero movie, the plot revolves around an iconic group of comic book
characters searching for CGI boxes powerful enough to destroy the world. But for
all the bumps and bruises and problems, and they are legion, Justice
League is a hell of a lot of fun.

'The Accountant' (2016) Movie Review
It’s rare to describe a single film as both cute and stunningly
violent, but here we are talking about The Accountant, which
is weirdly adorable for a movie where so many people get shot in the head.

'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' (2016) Movie Review
There are a number of elements in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that I think are great, and that fill me
with hope for the future of the burgeoning the DC Extended Universe. Which
makes it that much more frustrating that the latest superhero throwdown is such
a jumbled misfire, such a bloated, tedious slog, that it’s ultimately just not
good. Maybe it’s time that we, as a people, stop letting Zack Snyder do things.

Wonder Woman Speaks In The Final 'Batman V Superman' Trailer
Final trailer may be a bit misleading, as damn near every
time we get one of these ubiquitous “final trailers,” low and behold, a few
days later another drops in our laps. But what the hell, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a final trailer that you can check out
now if you so choose.

Check Out The New 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Trailer
As a director, Zack Snyder is hit and miss for me, but the
more we see and hear, the more intrigued I am about his upcoming superhero dual
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. At San Diego Comic-Con
this weekend, Warner Bros. dropped a shiny new trailer, and I have to admit, it
looks pretty badass.

'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Trailer Shows The Man Of Steel Take A Heel Turn
This wasn’t supposed to drop until Monday, but in the wake
of a shitty cell phone video version that hit the other day, Warner Bros.
decided to officially release an HD version of the first teaser trailer for
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Check it out below, it’s
a damn good time.

'Gone Girl' Movie Review: Low Trash As High Art
When David Fincher’s “Gone Girl” starts out, Ben Affleck’s
Nick Dunne is just a normal guy, taking out the trash on what looks like just
another normal morning. But this day is anything but normal. First, it’s his
fifth wedding anniversary, and you know from word one that it’s not a happy
marriage. It’s also the day that his wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), goes missing
and Nick becomes the most notorious man in the media-hungry world. What follows
is part mystery, part thriller, and part razor sharp indictment of our
news-as-entertainment society, all wrapped up with constantly shifting ground
and a wicked sense of humor you don’t see coming.

Blu-Ray Review: 'Argo'
Now out on Blu-ray and DVD, Ben Affleck’s thriller “Argo” is
one of the most acclaimed movies of 2012, and has been cleaning up on the
awards circuit so far this season. In fact, from all the indicators, analytics,
pattern analysis, and weird little statistical factors that no one in the real
world actually cares about—think of it as the Hollywood version of
Sabermetrics—and a lot of people expect a big payday when the Academy Awards
roll around in a couple of weeks.
