This 'Sicario' Trailer Is Tense And Thrilling

After a strong reception at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, we finally have our first look at Dennis Villeneuve’s (Prisoners) new film, Sicario, and it was worth the wait. This new trailer is tense and thrilling and if you weren’t stoked for this movie before, you will be now.

With a stellar cast that includes Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benicio Del Toro, Sicario tells the story of an FBI agent and two Delta Force Rangers who cross into Mexico in order to battle a vicious drug cartel. They face corruption, violence, and it’s never clear who is loyal to which side and if there is anyone to trust.

Here’s a quick synopsis:

In Mexico, SICARIO means hitman. In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent [Emily Blunt] is enlisted by an elite government task force official [Josh Brolin] to aid in the escalating war against drugs. Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past [Benicio Del Toro], the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.

Sicario opens in theaters September 18. Check out the trailer below.
